The Wish Tower Friends are eager to restart tours and share their love of the tower with visitors. Sadly, however, during our pre-season springcleaning session it has become apparent that the wet winter and early spring has taken its toll on the inside of the tower.
Steps and floors are much wetter than they were this time last year as the roof continues to leak to the extent that even our array of buckets aren’t catching it all.
For the sake of the safety of visitors, and the protection of the tower’s fabric we’re going to delay opening the tower for a month or so to allow things to dry out a bit more.
We’re very sad to have to do this, but visitor safety is of paramount importance to us.
We’re expecting to be able to open over the Early May Bank holiday weekend so watch this space for an update of our tour schedule.
