Cross Path Theatre – ‘Puff’

Cross Path Theatre came to perform John Agard’s play – Puff – at the Wish Tower.

The play is set in the period when Sir Walter Raleigh brings tobacco from the New World.

Subversive, a little bit cheeky and thoroughly charming it was too.

Badac Theatre – ‘The Flood’

Arranged by Eastbourne College for their students, and the public, this was a two-handed performance perfectly suited to the compact space that is the basement level of the Tower.

It’s the moving story of a soldier and his sweetheart in the First World War and the harrowing things they both experience. Played in such a close space, with actors inches in front of the audience, it was impossible not to get caught up in the emotions and unfolding tragedy.
