Last Sunday, 26th October, marked our final opening of the calendar year, having run a free to access open day nearly every weekend this year since March.

We’re delighted to share that we welcomed an incredible 3,664 visitors this year, and have been incredibly grateful to receive £2,130 in donations!

This is the most people we’ve welcomed in a year since The Wish Tower Friends took over in 2013, and our donations have increased by an incredible 42% compared to 2024!

It’s also been brilliant this year to once again take part in Heritage Open Days, run special architectural tours, and welcome a group from Stafford school.

From all of the Wish Tower Friends, thank you to all of our donors for allowing us to share our history and look after the Tower.

Our visitors said:

“Delightful local gem”

“The guides were incredibly knowledgeable and welcoming”

“Lovely friendly volunteers, made us feel very welcome”

While our regular open days are on hold over the winter months, we’ll be putting your generous donations to good use and making improvements to the Tower, ready for next year.

We can’t wait to welcome you back to the Tower in 2026!

Could you spare a few hours a month to help show visitors around the Tower, when we re-open? We’re always on the lookout for more eager volunteers to join us! Please get in touch if you’re interested.
