We’re delighted to share that our entrance has a new and improved look!

The steps up had been fading for some time, and have now been given a much-needed lick of paint.

Thank you to Leon Jenner & Son Ltd for completing the work.

We chose black paint to match the nearby lampposts, so our steps would fit neatly with the surrounding Peace Garden. We’re grateful to the Friends of Meads Park and Gardens volunteers for looking after this.

Did you know? Originally, the Wish Tower had a drawbridge entrance – you can still see the rope holes above the door today!

Last year, we were able to restore our original door, so it’s great to now have a completely refreshed entrance to the Tower.

We hope to be making further improvements and repairs to the Tower over the coming months, to help keep it water-tight and ready for even more visitors next year.

We were thrilled to welcome a record-breaking number of visitors this year – read more on our last blog – and we can’t wait to re-open!

Thank you to visitors who have kindly donated at our open days, who make our improvements possible, and to Eastbourne Borough Council’s Community Infrastructure Levy funding.
